Behold The Spectacle: A Mexican-Inspired Ultra-Modern Apartment
Wowzers. Just. Look. At. It.
I've seen some out-there interiors in my time, but this is one of the all time greats. Unfortunately the designers weren't as creative with the naming process as they were with the interior - it's been dubbed Apartment New York. I lament.
Anyways. Apartment New York is filled to the brim with pastel colours, soft edges and plush furnishings. It's a spectacle to behold. I'm trying to think of architectural reference points, but the first thing that came into my head when I seen this was Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
I'm pretty sure that's a good thing, because I fucking love Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (the original, that is).
Pink and green theme can be found everywhere. The colors make the space look quite busy, but if you step back from it, you'll see it's really quite minimal. There's not that much stuff here. If the palette was white and grey, we'd be calling it Minimalist New York Apartment. And probably boring to boot.
The bedroom and cacti give us a clue as to the architectural inspiration for the space: Mexico.
Mexico on LSD. It's wonderful. I don't know if I could live in it. I could sure try though.
